Divisions

Golf
The Golf Division operates year-round. During the winter season, simulator sessions are held at the Golf Bay facilities twice a week (self-funded). You can register for the sessions through Nimenhuuto app. All working Lyly members who are interested will be added to Nimenhuuto. Upon request, the division leader will add you to Lyly's Nimenhuuto so you can sign up. A Green Card is not required.
During the summer season, working Lyly members have the opportunity to use free playing rights at the Kahilanniemi golf course twice a week. A Green Card and membership in a golf club are required. Playing rights can be used once a person has been added to the name list submitted to Viipuri Golf's Caddiemaster. Contact the Golf Division leader if you wish to take advantage of this benefit.
In addition, the Golf Division typically organizes the following competitions in the summer:
Pair play competition on an external course (self-funded)
Kaukas Department Cup
Lyly Golf Championships

Tennis
Lyly's indoor tennis hall is available for free use year-round. Court reservations are made through Lyly's reservation calendar.
During the summer season, Lyly's outdoor tennis courts at the Kaukas Club are also available.
The Tennis Division aims to organize an annual indoor tennis league, where participants can openly compete against other company employees. The organization and format of the league may vary depending on the number of players. In addition, the Tennis Division arranges coaching sessions for those interested (self-funded). For more information, contact the division leader.

Sports Hall
Kaukas Lyly offers a diverse and fun selection of group exercise classes led by professional instructors. The classes are held in Lyly's sports hall, and the selection includes yoga, cross-training, muscle fitness workouts, fascia training, kettlebell training, and Pilates. The up-to-date schedule is always available on the website.
Everyone is welcome to participate, and no prior experience or registration is required. Announcements and practical updates are handled through each sport's WhatsApp group. In addition to the regular offerings, the aim is to organize annual intensive courses, which will be announced separately on Lyly's Facebook page.

Floorball
Floorball sessions run twice a week during the indoor season: on Mondays from 18:00–19:30 and on Thursdays from 18:30–20:00. In addition, the division organizes an annual inter-department tournament.
Monday sessions tend to be more active, but additional players are welcome on both days! The sessions are played recreationally, regardless of skill level—everyone from first-timers to experienced players is welcome. You can register for the sessions through Nimenhuuto app (https://lylynsahly.nimenhuuto.com/player), and the link also shows how many participants have signed up. The division leader will add you to Lyly's Nimenhuuto upon request so you can register.

Pesäpallo (Finnish baseball)
The core of Lyly's pesäpallo activities during the summer season is a weekly playing session. In recent years, the sessions have been organized once a week from May to September on one of Lappeenranta's pesäpallo fields.
The location and time of the weekly session are determined by the schedules set by the City of Lappeenranta's sports department. However, the session will remain at the same field and at the same time for the entire summer. For summer 2026, a slot will again be applied for, but the exact time and location will only be confirmed during late winter/early spring.
Lyly provides all the necessary equipment for games—gloves, helmets, bats, and balls—so not having personal gear is no obstacle to getting started. Each year, Lyly has also formed a team for the "Firmapesis" tournament organized by Pesä-Ysit. Registration for the weekly pesäpallo sessions is handled through a dedicated WhatsApp group. You can request to be added to the group and ask for more information from the division leader.

Rowing
Would you like to try something new, refreshing, and community-oriented?
Rowing offers the perfect opportunity—whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced paddler. We have a versatile range of equipment available: single, double, and four-person rowing boats, as well as a church boat—all free for members to use.
Fitness rowing with the church boat begins in May, weather permitting! The meeting point is the boathouse in Pappilanniemi. Feel free to come and try it out—rowing is suitable for everyone, and no prior experience is required.
Registration is conveniently done through the Nimenhuuto app. A WhatsApp group is being planned for communication. You can get more information from the division leader.
